Mountain Mama Happy Daze was born from living with chronic illness and learning that rest doesn’t have to mean emptiness. On hard days, the couch becomes a place of creation. A place where I gather pieces of nature, memory, and a little bit of magic, and turn them into art. When I can’t get out into the world, I bring the world to me.In my early 20s, I loved creating. I made art constantly and even sold jewelry at a few art shows. Then life took me down a different road. I built a marketing company, worked hard, pushed through illness, and measured myself by how much I could produce. For a long time, that worked. Until it didn’t.The last few years forced me to slow down in ways I never wanted. I’m balancing disability and a slower work flow, telling this ambitious mind and body to take a breather. This shift has been painful, humbling, and deeply disorienting for someone who once prided herself on success and grit. But I also know with any new path, there will be joy and surprises along the way!I make these pieces to bring nature closer to myself, and then I share them in case someone else needs the same quiet magic, beauty, or grounding as I do.
